Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri ’76 has secured a spot in the 2025/26 CEV Volleyball Cup final. They achieved this by overcoming Dresdner SC in a hard-fought five-set semifinal match held in Turin. The Italian team clinched a 3-2 win, building on their previous victory in Germany to advance to the championship game.
Chieri started strong, dominating the first set 25-13. However, Dresdner quickly retaliated, winning the second set 25-17. The third set was a nail-biter, ending 28-26 in Chieri’s favor, largely due to key plays from Anett Németh and Stella Nervini. Dresdner pushed the match to a fifth set by securing the fourth 25-23. Ultimately, Chieri maintained their composure in the decisive set, clinching it 15-12 after a total of 116 minutes of play.
Anett Németh was the leading scorer for the home team with an impressive 28 points. Stella Nervini also contributed significantly with 19 points, and Anastasia Cekulaev added 15 points, including four aces. For Dresdner, Marta Levinska was the standout performer, topping all scorers with 33 points.
In the second semifinal, Galatasaray Daikin Istanbul also secured their spot in the final. They achieved this with a commanding straight-sets victory against C.S.O. Voluntari 2005 in Bucharest, showcasing consistent control throughout the match, similar to their performance in the first leg.
Alexia Carutasu earned the MVP title with 12 points, while Myriam Sylla led all players in scoring for this match with 15 points. Hannah Duchesneau was Voluntari’s highest scorer, contributing 7 points.
